A lot of you might make daily trips to Starbucks in order to start your morning off. I myself don't drink coffee or caffeine, because I understand that not only does it rob your body of It’s own natural energies, vitamins and nutrients, - it's addictive, it’s an unnatural stimulant and it alters your moods.
Most people don't realize that your bodies LIFE FORCE (oxygen) is dramatically depleted, and we wonder why we feel tired and lethargic and unable to be patient with others. It's all because of lack of oxygen. Oxygen feeds our brain, muscles and our internal cells not to mention when the coffee or the caffeine wears off you crash and burn, mentally as well as physically.

What happens when you come down from coffee or caffeine? Your blood sugar and insulin levels in your body are eradicated, (DROPPED). As this happens you feel like you've gotten run over by a car and mentally you will do whatever it takes to feel that un-natural energy again.
So instead of eating energy enriched foods, we go for another cup of coffee or a can of coke.
Not to mention the non-nutritious social eating rituals that are linked up with coffee.

1) SNACKS
2) FAST FOOD
3) DESSERTS

Unfortunately these will put weight on instead of taking it off.
Notice the first beverage you think of when asked what you want with your Dunkin Donuts,
It’s not water or a healthy juice. One of the best reasons to give up coffee comes from a quote by Dr.Barry Sears, the author of the Zone.
It states... "if you’re getting your energy from artificial stimulants like coffee/caffeine you'll never really understand the effect your food is having on you."
You'll never know if your food is producing energy, alertness, tiredness or fatigue. Your masking the effects of your eating style with an overpowering stimulant.

My opinion...I think we all need to think about the ultimate picture when we put something in our body.

Live long and stay healthy,
